Excessive Sweating Treatment with Botox
What is Excessive Sweating?
Excessive sweating is the increase in the amount of sweat released to the skin surface due to excessive sweat glands in the human body. It is considered a disease when excessive sweating continues almost continuously and is at a level that affects the person’s daily life. Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) can be seen in 1% of the population.
In this disease, there is much more sweat production than is necessary to regulate body temperature. Sweating areas are usually the armpits, palms, soles of the feet and forehead. Some people sweat so much that they may need to change their clothes several times a day. In addition, since bacterial growth is easier in sweating areas, it causes an unpleasant odor and negatively affects the person’s physical and social life. For example, people with excessively sweaty hands may avoid hand contact and shaking hands due to social shyness. When the patient is worried that he will sweat, the stimuli that cause sweating may increase and increase sweating even more, and a vicious circle is entered.
Causes
The most important causes of excessive sweating include stress, stimulant drugs, excessive thyroid function, adrenal gland diseases, menopause, low blood sugar, obesity, some drugs and hormones used in cancer treatment.
In patients with excessive sweating complaints, the causes are investigated one by one and in cases where no problem is detected, it is thought that the sympathetic nervous system is congenitally overworked.

Then, the appropriate doses are calculated and the toxin solution is injected into the excessive sweating area from several areas with very fine needles. The effect starts 3-7 days after the application and continues for 8-12 months.
When performed by experienced specialist physicians, no side effects of the injection are observed and the results are much more successful.
