GENITAL AESTHETICS IN WOMEN
Inner and Outer Labia Surgeries
One of the most common genital aesthetic problems is the size and sagging of the inner and outer labia. The inner labia (labia minora) consist of curved structures extending from the upper part of the clitoris to the bottom of the vaginal entrance. In some women, it is considered natural for the inner labia to extend slightly beyond the outer labia. However, although it does not create a significant medical problem when it is long enough to hang from the outer labia, it disrupts the aesthetic appearance and pushes the woman to seek a solution. There are women who cannot wear tight clothes and pants due to labia size, who have not been able to go on vacation for years because they do not want to wear a swimsuit, and who even dim the lights and do not want to be seen naked in bed because they are ashamed of their husbands. Similarly, the asymmetrical outer lips can negatively affect sexual life both psychologically and functionally. In these cases, the labia can be reduced to their normal size with cosmetic surgery (labiaplasty surgery). Labiaplasty surgery is performed under local or general anesthesia and takes 30-40 minutes. This surgery does not harm the hymen. It does not harm sexual intercourse, orgasm, pregnancy or childbirth. There is no problem with urination after the surgery. Wound healing is completed in a week. Sexual intercourse can be had 3-4 weeks after the surgery. The surgical scar is not noticeable when viewed from the outside. You can take a shower 2 days later.
Vaginal Tightening
Another genital aesthetic problem is vaginal expansion and sagging. This prevents women from getting enough pleasure during sexual intercourse, and women may also face health problems such as urinary incontinence due to their enlarged vaginas.
In vaginoplasty surgery, the vaginal canal and the enlarged muscle structures are narrowed. The operations are usually performed under general anesthesia, sometimes under epidural anesthesia, and the patient can return to normal life after 1-2 days. Sexual life can begin after 4 weeks. It is often necessary to stay in the hospital for about 1 day after the operation. Sometimes, the patient can be sent home the same evening after the surgery performed in the morning. In advanced cases of the disease, the uterus can also sag downward and come out of the vagina. In such cases, it may be necessary to remove the uterus vaginally.
In addition, after the surgical incision (episiotomy) made to prevent random tearing during birth, swollen or unsightly scars may occur. The scar tissue that develops here may cause discomfort during sexual intercourse. In this case, the existing scar tissue is removed under local or general anesthesia and the wound area is stitched again aesthetically with suture materials that do not cause reactions. At the same time, vaginal tears that develop due to births are repaired.
Clitoris Surgeries
The anatomical structure located below the hair-covered mound called “mons pubis” in women is called the clitoris. The clitoris is an erectile organ in the shape of a “Y” located under the skin and subcutaneous fat tissue. The clitoris is the area where sexual pleasure is most intense in a woman and its main function is to “provide orgasm”. The equivalent of the clitoris in men is the “penis”. The externally visible part of the clitoris is the head part that looks out from where the inner lips meet at the top, shaped like a chickpea, and is called the “glans clitoris”. The glans clitoris corresponds to the uncircumcised tip of the male penis.
The clitoris being larger and puffier than normal is called “Clitoral Hypertrophy” or “Cliteromegaly”.
Sometimes, although the clitoris is of normal size, it can be seen more clearly due to the excess of subcutaneous and fat tissue on it.
Surgeries performed on the clitoris are aimed at reducing the size of the clitoris that is larger than normal and removing excess fat on the clitoris. In this way, the aim is to give the clitoris a more natural appearance.
G-Spot Surgeries
There are researchers who claim that it is located on the front wall of the vagina and helps with arousal during sexual intercourse. According to these researchers, making this point more prominent with fillers or fat injections will increase the pleasure during sexual intercourse and make it easier to reach orgasm. However, this issue has not been proven definitively.
Pubis Aesthetics
The pubis area is the area below the navel and above the bone with the same name. It continues downwards with the labia majora. While it has a hard and tight appearance at a young age, it can sag, empty or become more protruding with age as the fat mass increases.
In pubis aesthetics, if there is sagging in the pubic area, it is lifted up and the excess skin and fat tissue are removed. This type of surgery can be performed together with an abdominoplasty, or it can be performed alone if the person does not need an abdominoplasty. The scar of this surgery is the same as the cesarean scar. If the inside of the pubis is empty, fat injection can help, this can be decided after the stretching during the surgery.
If the pubic area is too prominent, which can also be seen in young people, the patient’s biggest complaint is the appearance when wearing pants. In this case, liposuction applied to the pubis will largely solve the problem. This operation can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation. The biggest problem in pubic aesthetics is the appearance that occurs when the labia majora protrudes if it is hung too high, so it should be performed by experienced hands.
GENITAL AESTHETICS IN MEN
Penis Thickening
For women, it is sufficient for the penis length to be 10-12 cm and the thickness to be 1.5 – 2 cm for vaginal orgasm. Because this is also the depth of the vagina. Penis thickening surgeries are performed if the penis diameter is small. The penis diameter can be increased by various methods. Among these, fillers are most commonly used. Fillers are applied in the form of fat tissue taken from the patient. However, fat injections also have many risks, and it may also melt completely. The penis is a very sensitive organ in terms of sensation. Sensory disorders may also occur as a result of the surgery.
Penis Extension
It is not possible to enlarge or lengthen the penis in real terms. However, the surgeries performed are roughly based on removing some of the part of the penis organ inside the body outside the body. In order to achieve this, the anterior ligaments that connect the root of the penis to the bone are cut. Of course, the normal anatomy of the penis is also disrupted in this way. According to the results obtained, there is no significant change in the length of the penis in the erect state. The penis can increase in length more when it is not erect. While the length of the penis is 2 – 2.5 cm on average at birth, it reaches 5 – 6 cm in the pre-pubertal period. The penis, which reaches 8 – 10 cm in puberty, can be an average of 15 – 16 cm in the erect state (erection).
Penis length is of course important in sexual life, but the thesis that a larger penis provides more pleasure is not always accepted. It is important for the tip of the penis to reach the cervix for a vaginal orgasm in women. An average length of 10 – 12 cm and a thickness of 1.5 – 2 cm are sufficient for this. The real small penis is the penis that is 3-4 cm shorter than the standard values. However, it should not be forgotten that according to the classic saying, what is important is not the size of the penis but its function. It is more advantageous to have a smaller penis that can maintain its hardness for a long time than to have a large, big and long penis. Of course, some problems may occur both in terms of position and psychologically during sexual intercourse with a penis that is much smaller than normal.
There are limited genital aesthetic surgery methods applied in the world for penis enlargement or penis enlargement. The most commonly applied method is to cut a section of the ligaments that connect the penis to the body, take the remaining penis tissue out and slide skin over it from the sides. With this genital aesthetic surgery, 2-2.5 cm of penis lengthening can be achieved. The point to be considered here is that no matter how good the surgical intervention is, patients with mental disorders may not be satisfied with the new appearance of the penis and deeper problems may arise. Therefore, the patient must undergo a very detailed mental examination and examination before the surgery. This type of surgery can cause many problems in the post-operative period, and the amount of lengthening to be achieved varies from patient to patient, and the result may not be satisfactory for the patient. Sexual abstinence is required for about two months after the surgery.
